What cookware is appropriate with Induction cooktops? Not all items of cookware can be used on induction cooktops and stoves. Since induction expertise uses the power of magnetism, the cookware piece itself have to be magnetic and have a flat backside. Because of this, cookware made from aluminum, copper or glass, including Pyrex will not work on its own. Induction cookware should be manufactured from a magnetic-based materials, equivalent to solid iron or magnetic stainless steel. Absolutely clad cookware brands, comparable to All-Clad, Cristel, Demeyere, Hammer Stahl, Hestan Nanobond, Le Creuset and Zwilling work on induction cooktops because they're magnetic. Forged Iron cookware also works on induction, like Le Creuset Signature Forged Iron & Staub Enameled Solid Iron. If you're unsure in case your cookware will work with induction cooktops, try sticking a magnet to your cookware. If it sticks, it should work; if it would not, probably it is not induction compatible.
